"I know it’s not hard to be scared about your future. You think you have to work nonstop so you can live when you’re older. But fuck it. Your teenage years will be the best years of your life, so go live them. Road trips, making music, whatever. Just go do it. Don’t waste your time now for the future because it may never happen. You may be killed tomorrow…"

bodies like sundials on the lawn

i wrote a poem in my head the other day that used that line. in case you were wondering.

seriously though, i am about to embark on what could be the biggest moment in my career. this is most assuredly a moment-maker. a game-changer. whatever other cheesy business term. this could be huge.

or i could fail and lose money.

but as listener says - “we only have what we remember.”

money can be made and lost..although so can memories. bad analogy. but you know what i mean.

carpe that friggin’ diem, terra.

you were made to make a difference…

awww… that’s a cute title.

i completely forgot to review this book from ages ago. it’s actually more of a devotional-type, written by max and jenna lucado - a great father/daughter duo. geared for the tween sort of demographic. i enjoyed it, though. it was broken up well and presented in a good format. i liked how practical the information was, and how i offered space for the reader to interact with the information. not nearly as cheesy as some teen devos i’ve read in my youth. i heard jenna speak at a conference once, and enjoyed the things she had to say in this book as i did much as i did when she spoke.

if i had a teenage daughter, i would give her this book to interact with, hopefully spurring her on to making a difference in her world.

this book made its way to me via the good people of booksneeze -
